Welcome to My Black Hair Journey. On this blog I will share my experiences in attempting to grow and maintain my hair. This blog won't have the answers for everyone, but it will have answers for some. Before I talk about growing my hair, I will talk about how I arrived at this point - my black hair journey.
I press my hair ever two to three weeks. This is what it looks like before it gets pressed. I took these photos on 4/21/06 before I pressed my hair. Some people think that type 4a/4b hair doesn't grow. I know for a fact that it does grow, it is just more challenging to take care of than other types of hair. The reason my hair looks so shiny is because I make sure it is well conditioned before I touch it with the pressing comb.
Hi Ms. Brownlow. It took me a few years to grow my hair this long because it took some time to understand what I was doing wrong, and to figure out what I needed to do differently.
